Flash Cookie Myths Dispelled

Okay, after some searching and some great help from other Adobe Community Professionals I have managed to put together a bit of ‘real information’ regarding Flash Cookies. It’s really amazing how stories can be made up to sound malicious when facts are either unknown or simply left out. (more…)

Mmmmm … Flash Cookies!

Quite recently I received an e-mail totally making it sound like Flash Cookies are the next big enemy to web browsing. To me this article was written with the intent to harm the reputation of Adobe Flash. Why? Who knows … but with all the recent squabbling between Apple and Adobe over Flash on the iPhone, iPad and iPod I would only guess this was part of the reason. While the e-mail was well written and contained ‘truths’, it only contained ‘half-truths’, actually make that ‘quarter-truths’.  It was definitely written with an anti-flash slant to it.

In my next blog article I will give you that e-mail along with the ‘real-truths’ that will show the true picture. You won’t wanna miss this one if Flash or Cookies, no not the baked kind, are a concern to you. See you back here real soon – with the truth.

Adobe Brings Flash to Mobile!

Adobe announced its release of Flash 10.1 recently, with one of the biggest new enhancements is the advancement in Mobile Technology. With literally millions of Flash developers now able to bring Flash content to mobile phones and devices we will now see some of the most intuitive and innovative apps yet. Unfortunately Apple has still got there head stuck somewhere and not supporting Flash for some odd reason. But wih many of the top apps ever created done using the Flash Platform I would expect them to grow up and quit being a ‘crab’ apple. So until then its going to be Android users that will win out.

You can read more detail on the latest Flash for Mobile information in Adobe’s Press Release.

The future of Flash just got a whole lot brighter!

Like many Adobe users, I have come to taking a liking to Adobe Flash Builder 4. Having never worked with Flex until now it has come as a fair challenge to learn the ways of Flex. So I ventured out to find help and ran across a new product called ‘Flexicious’. The product itself hasn’t been around very long and there isn’t much out on the Internet about it. And about all I can tell you is it can do some pretty dang cool stuff with Datagrids! (more…)
